you go to african shops to source african food items so i went to this shop and learned that not a shop is an open market in london my purpose of going there was to get meat but on getting there i found some other items which were of value to me and they were quite cheap so i bought them so i’ll be showing you everything i got from this market i bought golden one normally i get this golden one for about 7.99 or 6.99 i got them for 5.99 i got ogo i bought a lot of ogo so i’ll have to preserve them and i’ll be sharing a video soon on how you can preserve orgo if you buy them in large quantities oranges i bought oranges carrots i bought pineapples i bought apples i bought fresh tomatoes i bought bell peppers and this small paper is atarodo and i got the log papers as well i got grapes i bought corn the nigeria had corn yeah i got that and then i bought ginger so this was everything i got for non-frozen items and we’ll get on with the frozen items the fish the meat washing and preserving them i’ll wash them with salt washing with salt helps to clean and it ensures there is no bacteria may be stuck on the body or something is it helps to clean it well so for this fish i got the box for 36 pounds and usually i buy two to three pieces five pounds in my area so buying these 65 pieces for 36 pounds was quite a bad game for me i’m not washing the fish and i’ll get onto portioning them out for the freezer i’ll be taking out a tray for smoking i will smoke a tray of fish so it’s advisable to put them in a plastic bag before putting in the freezer this will help prevent them from sticking together when you put them in the freezer and it depends you can put one two or three in a plastic bag depending on how much you use so for me three was okay and i put three in a bag this is the one i’ll be smoking so i’ll get on with washing the meat here is um hot chicken sometimes they don’t really clean the heart checking very well i think it’s quite advisable to clean it well with if you have knife or you have a sponge a neat sponge you can use it i’m using a knife to clean mine and it’s really okay to clean it very well since you’ll be putting them in the freezer you don’t want to bring them out and it’s kind of not okay or not very neat you want something that when you take it out of the freezer you can just start using it straight away instead of trying to wash it again or or anything like that i’m done with the hot chicken and i’ll go on with the gizzard the market i’m talking about is an open market so it’s not like some shops you go into and all these things are already thoroughly cleaned this market is where the butcher they meet i don’t think they butchered them but the meat is cut the meat is still very fresh so you come there you buy them fresh and then you take them home and clean them yourself i’m done washing the gizzard and hot chicken i’ll get on with the turkey this was one of the easiest meat i washed on this very day it was kind of very clean not very clean but better than the rest wash as many times as you want once you are happy with what you’ve gotten or what you are getting you can just talk do some of these feathers can be stubborn so you go stubborn with them as well i’m done washing the chicken gizzard and turkey and i’ll get on with putting them in portions ready for the freezer as usual just take out a plastic bag and put as much as you can finish in one sitting not in one sitting i mean in one cooking so if you are putting a lot in a plastic bag be sure to finish it when you when you bring it out of the freezer so if you take it out of the freezer don’t take it back in just cook everything at once so that’s why it’s okay to put as much as you can finish in a bag before taking them to the freezer do i’m done putting them in portions in a plastic bag so i’ll take them to the freezer and put them there i’ll get on with them good meat cow meat and goat head this is the goat head and so most times they don’t really wash the goat head very well so this was the hardest for me to wash on this very day because i had to clean it very well with a knife and it was very time consuming i’m so tired wash with salt and wash as many times as you can until you are happy with what you are getting maybe if you feel it’s clean enough you can stop but just make sure they are neat this is the brain
